Stress, anxiety, and depression are part of all of our lives in different ways. They exist on a continuum in our life experience. However, through our genes, upbringing, personalities, and more life stressors than our systems can handle, we find ourselves experience the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression in debilitating ways. Over time, I have found that approaching these conditions through the sense of the SAD cycle allows a more holistic way to help reduce symptoms, shift the experience of day-to-day life, heal root causes and find a path forward in life. There are a variety of ways to work with these presenting conditions. For some clients, a short-term CBT protocol will shift things dramatically. Alternatively, we may begin with managing symptoms but move more quickly to root causes, which might look like integrating talk therapy, CBT/DBT, and even EMDR. My approach is client-centered, oriented to your needs, creating a collaborative experience that is most effective for you.
